UE Lifesciences IBE™ Intelligent Breast Exam

iBreastExam™ (iBE™) is a hand-held medical device designed to provide easy, affordable and rapid breast cancer detection in doctor’s offices or low-resource settings where screening mammography is unavailable. DesignDesign coordinated a multi-disciplinary team to maximize the potential of an innovative sensor technology. In eighteen months, the team developed a fully functional prototype that was ready for regulatory application and volume manufacturing. iBE is designed to be clinically, technically & economically suitable to fight breast cancer in virtually any environment.
