Dade Behring MicroScan WalkAway Plus

DesignDesign was retained by Dade-Behring (now Siemens) to do a complete enclosure redesign of their Walkaway product. Subsequent to early assessment of the system user interactions, we also redesigned the internal loading/sealing scheme for easier and safer (to the user) accommodation of vary sizes of fluid vials. As a result of our involvement, Dade-Behring achieved a significant reduction in parts for 2 sizes of instrument, a 50% reduction in tooling, 50% reduction in parts cost and an approximately 200% increase in sales performance.
