XSTREAMHD UNVEILS NEW PRODUCTS AT 2008 INTERNATIONAL CES SHOW
XStreamHD spent years developing technology to deliver the first-ever transport network to deliver High-Definition movies, music, and more directly to the home. Two-time Academy Award-Winner Michael Douglas helped introduce the product at the 2008 CES show. DesignDesign worked closely with George Gonzalez, president/CEO of XStreamHD, to develop his vision of leading-edge custom enclosures in time for the show.

CAMILEON HEELS NAMED ONE OF THE BEST INVENTIONS OF 2007 BY TIME MAGAZINE
Camileon Heels’ reinvention of the stiletto has earned a top spot among Time Magazine’s most interesting new products and ideas of 2007. The concept of a shoe that transforms from fashionable to comfortable in one swift click was engineered into reality by Ian White and the DesignDesign team, providing a simple solution for women who want to wear heels at work but need something more practical for the commute to and from the office. DESIGNDESIGN PRODUCT FEATURED
The Spyder3Elite, Datacolor’s latest contribution to color calibration accuracy, was featured in PC Photo Magazine’s 2008 Buyers Guide. DesignDesign’s Andy Toth, Andrew Johnson, David White, and Ian White, provided the creative and hardware engineering support for this tool that is utilized to ensure consistent color from import to output.

LeTip is a professional organization dedicated to providing business professionals with the highest standard of networking opportunities. The organization operates on a unique rule that business categories are limited to one member per LeTip chapter. (For example: only one chiropractor or one financial advisor is allowed in each chapter). Therefore our very own Erika Bove is the Graphic & Industrial Design representative for the Chadds Ford branch in Delaware County.

DESIGNDESIGN SUPPORTS 2nd ANNUAL SENATOR BOB THOMPSON MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING
June 18th, Marketing Director Kathy Lick Pilla attended the second annual Senator Bob Thompson Memorial Golf Outing sponsored by the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry. The outing was held at the beautiful Kennett Square Country Club. The day’s events were followed by dinner and awards. All proceeds from this event benefit the Chester County Chamber Foundation and the Senator Bob Thompson Memorial Scholarship fund.

DESIGNDESIGN ATTENDS ATLANTIC DESIGN & MANUFACTURING TRADESHOW
June 12th – June 14th, DesignDesign’s President, David White, and Engineering Director, Ian White, traveled to The Big Apple to showcase DesignDesign in the Atlantic Design & Manufacturing Tradeshow. The tradeshow was held in New York’s well-known Jacob Javits Center where DesignDesign was among hundreds of exhibitors. Introduced in 1997, the Atlantic Design & Manufacturing show is the only comprehensive event serving the East Coast’s dynamic design, process, and manufacturing market.

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS MEET, GREET AND GROW!
On June 5th, DesignDesign’s Graphic Design team attended the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry’s Business Expo - Meet, Greet and Grow. The Expo was held at CFS, The School at Church Farm, where DesignDesign was one of hundreds of exhibitors. The day began with an opportunity to attend a leadership brunch with the big 5 Basketball Coaches as the guest speakers, and then led to the business expo leaving plenty of time for networking opportunities.
After the Expo, DesignDesign attended the 2007 Taste of Chester County, in which numerous local restaurants showcased their specialties. The evening concluded with giveaways, the awarding of the best expo booth, as well as the presentation of the 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year award to Dave Magrogan, President and CEO of Kildare’s Irish pubs and Doc Magrogan’s oyster house.

ALL ABOUT VISIBILITY
On May 15th, DesignDesign’s Kathy Lick Pilla presented a marketing seminar along with Terry Moody of TCM Communications for the Chester County Chamber’s Women In Business division. The “All About Visibility” presentation advised members on a variety of marketing tactics from Brand Management to PR, to Website Design and Search Engine Optimization.

2007 SCCCC GOLF TOURNAMENT
On May 7th, DesignDesign’s David White and Kathy Lick Pilla attended the annual Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. All proceeds from the event benefit the SCCCC Scholarship fund. The event was held at Hartefeld National Golf Club in Avondale PA.

2007 SCCCC LEGISLATIVE LUNCHEON
On May 11th, Kathy Lick Pilla of DesignDesign attended the SCCCC Annual Spring Legislative Luncheon. DesignDesign contributed to this special occasion as an event co-sponsor. The Luncheon took place at the Mendenhall Inn, setting the stage for guest speaker State Senator Dominic F. Pileggi. Senator Pileggi’s topic of presentation was in regards to the “Impacts of Population Growth in Southern Chester County”.

DesignDesign provided tradeshow support to Cerona when they launched their SkyDSR™ product at The National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas. DesignDesign also provided Product Styling and CAD Support in the development of the SkyDSR™.

NEGOTIATING FOR DUMMIES
On March 29th, DesignDesign attended Chester County Chamber's Women In Business annual dinner at the Mendenhall Inn. Along with 300 women, DesignDesign celebrated accomplishments in business with a night of networking, commemorating, and inspiration. As an award sponsor for the event, and a past recipient of the award, DesignDesign’s Kathy Lick Pilla presented the 2007 Female Business Leader of the Year Award to Kimberly Brumbaugh, President of Brumbaugh Wealth Management of Glenmoore PA. This award is presented to recognize one woman in the region for her professional achievements, initiative in the community, and leadership for other women in business.
The evening concluded with keynote speaker Mimi Donaldson, well-known author of Negotiating for Dummies and Bless Your Stress! It Means You’re Still Alive. Her humorous yet very insightful view on the art of negotiating left us with great tips, right down to what our purses say about our own negotiating skills!

On January 1st, 2007, DesignDesign merged with Centerline Design Graphics and Marketing. Our talented teams have joined forces to expand our resources so we can better serve our clients. The entire staff of Centerline Design moved two blocks from their original chester county office to join DesignDesign at 119 S. Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA.
Over Time, President of Centerline Design, Kathy Lick, and President of DesignDesign, David White, got to know each other and began to discover synergies that couldn’t be ignored. As more innovative ideas are always a good thing, Kathy and David decided to merge their businesses. DesignDesign takes pride in bringing together two design disciplines under one roof, making us a powerhouse company for industrial and graphic design.
Together DesignDesign and Centerline Design bring years of experience and expertise in a wide variety of areas.
