DATACOLOR SPYDERTV

When Datacolor/ColorVision decided to extend its market reach to include home theaters with its color-correction device, a few things stood in the way… color science, software and mechanics. First 2 were solved in-house while DD did the mechanics. DesignDesign conceptualized, tested, designed, and engineered the accessory to position the Spyder on expensive TVs with no muss or fuss.

DATACOLOR SF600X

Datacolor is an international manufacturer of spectrophotometers and software that measure colors of parts, paints, and textiles for quality control. DesignDesign provided a dramatic new look for their high-performance technology while cost reducing the enclosures and castings that supported three key products.

DADE BEHRING VISTA

Dade Behring moved into high-volume clinical-chemistry testing with a twin-instrument, Vista3000. Though DesignDesign did not develop this exterior enclosure, key contributions were made to reduce the perceived complexity under the hood of multiple robotic systems, transitioning an area of concern to an area of pride.

INTEST CORPORATION

InTest engineers hoists that suspend up to 3,000 lbs of electronics delicately over test equipment in the semi-conductor industry. DesignDesign expedited metal and color to transform the equipment from intimidating to friendly. First lots of skins were specified, purchased, and fit by DesignDesign to speed development.

MARSILLI NORTH AMERICA

Marsilli North America serves manufacturers of coil-wound products with high-speed automation. DesignDesign coordinated booth designs, one custom, one rental, for different shows running the same week. DesignDesign also designed a booth for expansion into the medical market and created the SAM SmartAutoMotion name.

METRICVISION MV200

MetricVision emerged from a Thermo company with non-contact technology to measure airplanes, cars and large objects with great precision. DesignDesign helped transform prototypes into mainstream, high-tech solutions. Leica (known for Swiss optics) also markets this product in their colors, prepared by DesignDesign.

OKURA RESTAURANT

Okura wanted to improve the ambience and interior decorating in their restaurant through a series of renovations to their sushi bar area. DesignDesign developed and coordinated construction drawings, fabrication, and installation to help them achieve their goal. Five overhead backlit light boxes with illuminated art and Japanese frames were created by DesignDesign for installation.

COLORVISION SPYDER

ColorVision recognized a market opportunity for affordable color correction of CRT and LCD displays. DesignDesign provided a unique design for the Spyder® that helped establish their award-winning brand. Six molds were expedited by DD in weeks, and all parts pressed together for high- volume production.

TROEMNER'S TALBOYS

Troemner is a quality manufacturer of diverse laboratory equipment sold largely through VWR Scientific. By changing the appearance of the same exact switch layout and adding color to the enclosure, DesignDesign was able to upgrade a similar product to become the high-end line of direct-sale Talboys for Troemner’s own brands.

VWR STANDARDS

After VWR established a new image for print and promotion, valued suppliers of instruments were left without guidance for control panels. Troemner, such a supplier, relied on DesignDesign to establish a fresh new look of sweeps, shapes, and color to revitalize the instruments and amplify the new brand. The look is now considered the standard for all VWR instruments.

AUTOMATED PRECISION INC.

API invented and developed a line of Laser Trackers, which are ultra-precise coordinate measurement machines to measure and compare actual airplanes, cars, boats, etc. against Manufacturing’s CAD files. DesignDesign elevated the perceived value and visibility of their products with graphic treatments in time for “the best trade show in API’s history”. Their booth and literature were also transformed.
