  Community Collaboration
We firmly believe that community collaboration is an essential part of our business. When we can help affect change in our local area, our entire community benefits and we do too. We help promote their events, causes and initiatives and raise awareness of the great things they are doing within the community. Below is a sampling of some of our collaborations:

American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society held a “Night at the Museum” event last April as a night to honor Delaware individuals and organizations who have helped in the fight against cancer and raised more than $100,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society’s mission.

The ACS came to us to develop a save-the-date card and program book, along with several posters and advertisements to promote the event. You can read more about the night’s success here.

DE KIDS Fund

The Delaware Kids Fund

The DE KIDS Fund (Kids In Distressed Situations) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing goods and services to children throughout Delaware who are at risk and in distressed situations. They first came to us looking for an event logo for their inaugural 5K Run/Walk.

Because the 5K was to be publicized on billboards, signs, shirts and brochures, we wanted to establish a recognizable brand that people could connect with. And what better way to convey the organization’s running event then to put some sneakers on the DE KIDS Fund shining sun logo?

A few months later, with their 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive coming up, they asked us to create a new event logo. Since we had already developed a sun “character” for their 5K Event, it made sense to re-dress the guy in holiday garb for a festive look. We look forward to giving the sun many more fun looks for their upcoming events!

Kennett After-School Association

Kennett After-School Association / After-The-Bell
The Kennett After-School Association provides a unique after school program known as After-The-Bell. After-The-Bell offers supervised after-school programs of recreational, social and academic skill-developing activities for Kennett Middle School students, led by community volunteers and provided without charge to students and their families.

KASA’s Board of Directors wanted to revamp the look of their marketing materials in order to create a more cohesive message for After-The-Bell, and gave us the opportunity to develop new stationery systems, brochures, press kits, Annual Reports and several other marketing materials for their organization. We now enjoy an ongoing partnership with this exceptional group.

Kennett Area Community Development

Kennett Area Community Development (KACD)
Kennett Area Community Development (KACD) is a community-based initiative brought about to enhance and strengthen Kennett Square and the surrounding communities. Their first undertaking, The Gateway Project, is a partnership of the Kennett Area YMCA, The Bayard Taylor Memorial Library, the Kennett Area Park Authority, and the Borough of Kennett Square, and is aimed at enriching the lifestyles of those in and around Kennett.

The KACD board came to us looking for a logo that would really reflect their mission of partnering for growth, showing the 4 entities of The Gateway Project coming together for a bigger cause. We are excited to continue to collaborate with this great organization for our community’s progress.

Kennett Area Community Service

Kennett Area Community Service (KACS)
The Kennett Area Community Service organization provides temporary assistance for families in the Kennett, Unionville, Avon Grove and Chadds Ford school areas who need food, clothing, lodging, heat or rent. Because KACS also operates the well-known Kennett Food Cupboard, many people in the community thought it was the only initiative that the group ran.

KACS asked us to create a new logo that properly conveyed the many great services they offer to help people get back on their feet, not just with food but also with housing, financial assistance and compassion.

The Mushroom Festival

The Mushroom Festival
As business members in the Mushroom Capital of the World, we would be remiss to not somehow participate in Kennett Square’s annual Mushroom Festival. We provide sponsorship to the event each year and create the advertisements, rack cards and brochures that are handed out during the Festival. For 25 years, the Mushroom Festival has been a celebration of the mushroom, and we’re happy to be a part of the party.

Meals on Wheels of Chester County

Meals on Wheels of Chester County
Meals on Wheels of Chester County, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve a well-balanced, nutritious meal five days a week to homebound residents regardless of age or economic status. The purpose of the program is to provide homebound persons with nutritionally balanced meals while offering relief from the social isolation that so often affects the homebound.

The design showcases the main aspects of their services while educating visitors on the importance of volunteers and donations for their organization’s success.

Pink Invitational – Gymnasts Unite

Pink Invitational – Gymnasts Unite

The Pink Invitational is an annual gymnastics meet with a central mission — to find fun and meaningful ways to educate girls and young women about the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices, organic products, good nutrition, regular physical activity and breast health, as well as raise awareness and funds for those affected by breast cancer. Over the past several years, the Pink Invitational has collaborated with local gyms and gymnastics communities to help raise over $200,000 for women with breast cancer and their families.

The Gymnasts Unite program asked us to revamp their old website for more appeal among their young gymnast competitors, while still conveying the very important cause that the meet was created to support. The event has become a huge success and we look forward to continuing to help them raise awareness and funds for many years to come.

Unite for HER

Unite for HER
Since 2009, Unite for HER has worked to bridge the gap between the medical and wellness communities by educating women diagnosed with breast cancer about complementary therapies. Their mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of women and girls by supporting and providing breast cancer programs and initiatives that educate, empower and restore.

When Unite for HER came to us for design assistance, they had no web presence to further establish themselves as an accessible resource for women. We created a wellness-focused website that clearly shows the objectives of their organization and gives an overall feeling of compassion and caring for women of all ages.

Unionville Fair

Unionville Fair

The Unionville Community Fair and Farm Show has the largest display of community agricultural products, handcrafts and arts in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Now in its 85th year, the fair features many local exhibitors and is a great showcase for our area’s residents. The Unionville Fair Board of Directors asked us to create a website that showcased all the events happening during the 3-day fair, allowed exhibitors to enter contests online, and encouraged community members to participate through volunteerism. We now work with the fair to update the website each year with past winners and new events.
