Boyesen is a top manufacturer and distributor of high performance parts that enhance the riding experience of MX motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and watercrafts. The Boyesen brand has established a good reputation in the industry for decades, so, DesignDesign agreed to keep the Boyesen logo.  The overall design objective was to create a new look and feel for the performance products while still conforming to the highly recognizable Boyesen logo.  Boyesen had DesignDesign create packages for products from specialized handgrips that reduce the strain to a rider’s wrist and arms, to a quick fuel injection device that manages fuel through a cartridge design for high sensitivity and instant acceleration.

DesignDesign was approached by PANTONE, the world leader in color standards, as they entered the market of ink-jet printers. PANTONE’s ColorVANTAGE INKS offer a color gamut comparable to dye-based inks with more stability, less color shifts and fading, and innovatively deeper, richer colors (without having to add black).

The packaging system’s redesign had to be created in such a way that continued to communicate Pantone’s strong brand message of reliably high quality color. There were a total of six boxes designed, each with a different size and shape criteria, and multiple ink cartridge labels created for application to a large range of printer models.

A little while later, PANTONE approached DesignDesign again to help them to introduce their new formula guides that now have 25% more color. The winning system used low-gloss clear boxes printed in wrap-around color to highlight the guides at point-of-sale and protect the guides after purchase. Photography of a fanning formula guide provided the graphics for the packages while also instantly projecting what is inside, with little need for any text explanation on the face of the packages.

LadyClassic has a specialty niche in women’s golf apparel and accessories, designed to enhance any woman’s golfing experience. Each glove’s design is made with high quality materials for enhanced fit, fashion, comfort and sophistication.

When LadyClassic came to DesignDesign with the need to elevate the perceived quality of their brand, DesignDesign decided to revamp their entire line of golf glove packages. The use of colorful graphics unified the look of the system of packages and allowed for the product line to really pop off the shelves next to the competition. Product photography highlighted the differences among each specific specialty glove.
